We will:
Introduce the impact of trauma on individuals, families and communities and relevant ways to integrate our understanding of trauma into harm reduction work
Explore the intersections between child sexual abuse, other forms of violence, drug use, harm reduction & systemic oppression
Support individual and community resiliency-based work as key to social change and transformation
Introduce participants to the principles and practices of Transformative Justice, exploring their relation to the principles and practices of Harm Reduction and how both work to respond to and prevent future incidences of child sexual abuse and other forms of intimate violence.
Introduce and invite specific ways to integrate CSA response and prevention into harm reduction programs and organizing.
